If you are not familiar with oil change procedure see note below. *NOTE* According to Yamaha the oil change procedure is as follows : For engine oil??- Remove the rear cover, start engine let it idle 2 minutes.- Remove dipstick, oil filler cap, 1 oil tank drain bolt and washer, 2 engine drain bolts and gaskets, 2 oil cooler drain bolts and gaskets.- Remove right rear mudguard and oil filter.- Install drain bolts, gaskets, and oil filter.- Add 1.5 Qts engine oil to the crankcase, and 2 Qts to the oil tank.- Start Engine, let it idle 2 minutes, shut off engine and wait 10 mins.- Add remaining 1 quart to oil tank to bring oil to maximum level on dipstick.- To make final check, start engine and let it idle 2 mins, shut off and wait 2 mins, check level on dipstick ( do not screw it in ).For Transmission oil ??Remove passenger seat cushion, lift up passenger seat belt buckle rubber cover, remove dipstick, remove drain bolt and gasket, install drain bolt and gasket, refill with SxS Gear oil, check level on dipstick.For Front/Rear Differentials ?..Remove drain bolts and gaskets, install drain bolts and gaskets, clean dirt away from fill bolts, add specified amount of Shaft drive oil.
