It features combined Condenser and Dynamic microphone elements. The Condenser Microphone Element produces greater frequency response and clear, crisp audio characteristics perfect for being heard on crowd bands and in big DX pile-ups, while the Dynamic Microphone Element delivers the rich low-mid tonalities, favored for local QSOs. The response of each microphone element may be adjusted independently using the internal Nine (9) Band Graphic Equalizer. Each element has a separate volume control for independent adjustment of output levels. The output of each microphone may be selected separately, or they may be combined to produce the most pleasant tonality. Both the Condenser Element and Dynamic Element in the M-1 utilize the Nine (9) Band Graphic Equalizer (63Hz, 125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1kHz, 2kHz, 4kHz, 8kHz, 16kHz). Each element's frequency response is independently adjustable. Two (2) frequency response memories and a "through" mode are provided for each element, and are easily switchable by one-touch buttons on the microphone base. The supplied TBC (Treble Boost Cowling) enhances the voice response around the important 1 - 1.5kHz range. Attaching the cowling creates a condensed unique tonal texture that is pleasing for many. The PTT key uses three Air-Cylinder Tubes which afford a smooth and comfortable long keystone. The contactless magnetic switch ensures long-life and stable operation. Other included features are; Recording and playback capability (20 seconds), to confirm the audio tonality; Large red TX LED Indicator; Large Graphic Equalizer and Frequency Response Scope LCD Display with antireflective coating; Headphone jack; Touch PTT keylock; Built-in low-cut filter to shape the low frequency response; Cannon-type (XLR) output plug connector; and Audio output volume control for headphones. While radio manufacturers will typically take the cause of any problem into consideration, there is no guarantee that they will warranty your radio if it has been modified, even if the modification was not the cause of the defect. Modified radios do not qualify for direct replacement unless GigaParts performed the modification. We guarantee our MARS/CAP modifications will not void the manufacturer’s warranty for a period of 1 year. However damage caused by transmitting outside the ham bands may not be covered under warranty. Generally, radios that have been modified after purchase are not returnable. If your order was damaged in shipping or appears to have been opened prior to delivery, please notify the delivery driver and report the problem to GigaParts within 2 business days. Claims for items missing from your shipment must be reported to GigaParts within 2 business days of delivery and the shipping box and all packaging materials must be retained until the claim is settled. Shipping cartons are designed to protect your item while in transit and damage to boxes or packaging materials is not grounds for a claim unless the actual item sustained damage. Returns Returns GigaParts accepts returns for refund or replacement within 30 days of the original invoice date. Defective items can be returned for a full refund or replacement. Items returned as defective will be tested to verify all claims. After testing, if the item is found to be functioning properly, the buyer may incur restocking and/or shipping fees being deducted from the refund.
