Description: This belonged to Leonard W. Sines. I have his named and patch forest green uniform. This came with that as a lot. He joined the Marines in September 1939. He was assigned to USS Tennessee as a part of the ships marine detachment from November 1939 and served there until he shows up with company E, second tank battalion, second Marine division as a sergeant. SUUSS Tennessee was mud at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. He would have been there for the Pearl Harbor attack. His name last appears with the second tank battalion master rules on July 1, 1945. So he would have participated in the battle of Saipan, battle of Tinian, and battle of Okinawa. As his MOS is 715 – company section leader, he would have actively participated in each of the battles. He retired a gunnery sergeant. What an amazing service!!! I’m selling this with a heavy heart because of very limited space. I will forward all the research I have of him from ancestry to the winning bidder. I have not done any research on the other name. Pictures are a part of the description, so please look carefully. Please ask questions before bidding. Please don't hesitate to send me an offer. I do combine shipping. So please let me know if you are interested in more than one item. Thanks for looking.
