Description: Gentlemen, Offered here is a one-of-a-kind example of an ORIGINAL WWII TYPE B-15A Flying Intermediate Jacket NEW IN BOX. This specific example was made by SUPERIOR TOGS CO. INC. under Order No. (33-038)45-5111-AF in 1945. The TYPE B-15A was adopted as an improved version of the TYPE B-15 on November 4, 1944. This Type was a successful example of a flight jacket with outstanding functionality. It was lightweight, comfortable, and had everything needed for heat retention. In addition, the production cost was low, and it was a durable garment. However, the B-15A appeared at the end of World War II, and it was not possible to produce enough of it and deploy it to the entire squadrons. This is probably the only N.O.S example with in existence to date. The condition of this jacket is NEW. Grading scale 10/10. All parts original to the jacket. No rips, no stains, no issues. Mouton is immaculate. Zipper and snaps work perfectly. Inside lining is immaculate. Knits are immaculate, which is extremely rare even for a N.O.S. example. Stamps and decals are still sharp. The box is in superb condition, which is extremely rare after all these years, making it the holy grail for any WWII collector. Needless to say, finding another example in this condition would be nearly impossible.
