Sublime vintage new old stock mint watch from the 1940s, never used or worn, made for McDowells of Dublin and is ex shop stock with its original strap and buckle - the strap and buckle alone are probably worth over £50!Movement is not running, the balance is stiff and not rotating but has good pivots, probably gummed up with old oil. The piece also smells a bit damp from years of storage. The radium burn on the dial visible is exactly where the hands were positioned so probably untouched for many decades.A rare opportunity to buy a unique piece, excellent project for the hobbyist.
