Description: WWII KA-BAR USMC/USN "BLANK BLADE" RESTORED AS "FANTASY KNIFE". This KA-BAR started out as a 2nd Generation, 4th Version "Blank Blade" knife with its blade, guard & pommel all Parkerized in the standard Gray-Blue color standard on these knives. However, it had been badly rusted and all metal parts needed to be re-finished. However, the Gray-Blue Parkerized finish was not available, so I decided to hot-blue the blade and use cold-bluing on the guard and pommel, making the knife into a "fantasy knife," since no WWII KA-BAR was finished with these colors. The guard and pommel are tight and the blade is properly stamped, "KA-BAR." It comes with a dark-stained USMC sheath on the back of which "Honolulu/Pearl Harbor/Marshall Is/Guadalin (sp)/...." and a couple of other names too faint to read are scratched..
