Description: WWI AEF letter sent by Corporal Frank Cleve Floyd, Company L, 125 U.S. Infantry to friend in Iron River, Michigan. October 25 1918 . . . Just come off the line . . Managed to write home once in 25 days . . . Our company went over the top twice while we were up there and we sure made good and captured piles of Machine Guns and prisoners I captured one for you besides squaring up for the time they got me . . . We went over in a fog and we caught them in the dugouts and every other way we succeeded to lick them good . . . Had some great times on this front and seen some fine sights . . . Nearly froze now, we are in shelter tents yet just within sound of the guns . .
