Description: During WW2 each U.S. soldier carried a half shelter. The two halves would be joined together with buttons to form a tent. This example is the early war 1st model with one closed end. It is faintly marked U.S. near the center and NATIONAL VENETIAN BLIND CO. 1942. There are ropes in the corners and all the metal buttons are present and show no patina. This shelter half is clean, with original olive/khaki color with no mildew, rips, tears or stains. A nice addition to any US field gear collection or early WW2 display! Shipped promptly.
