Description: Nambu Type 14 holster in great used condition. Dated 1941 and in a very rare configuration for this date. By this time Nambu holsters were being made with a combination of later style materials. They had abandoned brass hardware for steel as a war economy measure, as brass was needed for munitions. As well, the transition from leather to rubberized canvas was underway. Also, the strap closure is of the first style without the springs. This has got to be one of the last holsters of this style made at such a late date. For that reason, its a rare holster for sure. Pictures show the condition, which is strong and supple. The older reproduction strap has been added for display. Its nice and is included.
