Description: This unassembled kit of a World War II German Submarine U505 is a must-have for any collector or model enthusiast. The original boxes were trash and fell apart when touched. The decals I am sending with them are not the original decals they were also trash. The parts have been inventoried and it looks like they are complete with no guarantees. This is the Uboat boarded and sized by the US Navy towards the end of the War in the Atlantic. After the war this Submarine made its way to Chicago, IL to The Science and Industry Museum. It spent a lot if years outside where you could take guided tours of the Interior. It was eventually moved to an underground room below the North parking lot where it remains to this day. Guided tours of the Interior of the submarine are conducted during Museum operating hours. The picture of the original box is demonstration purposes only. This is to give buyers am idea of the original kit. As Stated before the boxes were trash and fell apart when they were touched. So I bought replacement decals for the kit. There is an instruction sheet included in the sealed bag that shows placement and which ones to use on the Uboat you wish to make. The U505 is one of the Uboats listed in the decal instruction sheet. Even if these are new and sealed it is still recommended that you use several coats of decal film before using these decals. Shipping is done with Ebay labels. When the label cost plus packing materials is added together a refund will be issued to the buyer. I will not ship to forwarding services or overseas.
