Description: Interesting veteran bring-back from World War I. This lined, wool-felt "Mankhush Cap" fits similar to an issue garrison cap or French side cap of the era. I recall seeing one other, and I believe these are of French-Morroccan influence. This came as part of the effects of an aviation supply officer who served in France during World War I (Cushing Toppan). The hat remains in good condition, showing signs of age, use, and wear. The leather sweatband is present, but has come completely unattached. Please see the pictures for more detail. Guaranteed 100% authentic in every respect for life.
