Description: During world war 2 there were a group of Native Americans now called the Navajo Code Talker’s. This was an actual pamphlet used to teach the Navajo code during world war 2. The code was developed using the Navajo language because it was unwritten and the people were isolated and it was difficult to interpret and understand. The code was used in the South Pacific campaigns, Saipan, Tinian, Roi-Namur and Iwo Jima. Japan was intercepting and breaking the American codes , so the Navajo people were used to transmit and decode messages. The Navajo code was top secret and confidential during that time and there were less than 500 Navajo code talkers total. The exact number is unknown. This pamphlet is authentic and is rare. I myself am a living relative of the man to whom this book belonged to. The code was confidential and was this book so this may be 1 of very few that may be left in existence. The pamphlet is 10”x8” , 17 pages and 79 years old, one photo shows the water mark of the paper used during that time period . You can contact me with any questions, serious buyers and inquiries please. I will also give you a hand written letter explaining who’s boon this was and how I’m related.
