Description: World Trade Center Race Poster In the fall of 1992, Marlboro and the CART race series agreed to hold the first ever Grand Prix of New York. With the logistical challenges that existed in setting up a race of that magnitude in the Big Apple, the race was eventually cancelled. The promotional brochure for this inaugural event that was to race around the World Trade Center Towers was discovered. The Philip Morris Company, owner of the Marlboro brand, gave permission to reproduce the cover artwork of the brochure into this limited edition poster. This was racing's connection to the 9/11 tragedy. Only 5,000 of this special poster was produced. Poster size: 18"x25", suitable for framing. Posters will ship rolled inside a USPS Priority Mail tube. "International buyers – please note: Import duties, taxes, and charges aren't included in the item price or postage cost.
