Description: Works of Bret Harte; published Mckinlay, Stone and Mackenzie; New York; c 1910. Nineteen Volumes including two volumes of poetry (separately numbered volumes I and II). Missing volume 3. Mackenzie Stone were active 1900-26, primarily in the fiction reissue market. Both this edition and the Collier Edition (1892) appear to be a reprints of the Houghton Mifflin edition of 1886. This set is in excellent condition: the gilt blind stamps on the front boards are near pristine, the gilt and stamped spines are also very fine, just the slightest fading top of spines. The pages are pristine, white and unmarked, and the bindings still tight, as these volumes are likely unread. One volume has front board crease LR corner (see pics).
