Description: Beautifully hand-carved, refined face on this 12" high doll, possible copy of a 19th century fashion doll. Her low neckline and the width of her upper arms give a hint as to her dress style, c. 1867 (see sketch).This beauty has a calm expression, delicate ears and finely carved hands. She weighs 9 ounces (254 grams). Her feet are more roughly carved than her hands and face. She has blue eyes and pale pink lips. There are 2 very small marks on her face that I have never tried to clean. Head is carved one piece with torso. Arms are moveable, as are the legs. Comes with stand. I purchased her without clothing, in a walking stance on the stand, which may be why one leg was carved a bit shorter. I don’t know if the stand is the same age as the doll. Doll may be antique, is certainly vintage. She has been in my collection about 10 years, and is now ready for a new loving home. And, she needs a name. I will enclose the lovely hand-made antique handkerchief shown with her. No odor, mold or mildew. Smoke-free, pet-free home. We list precisely, pack carefully in a recycled box and send out quickly.
