The backstamp reads Wood & Sons, Woods Ware, England, Broadmoor across the top over the urn with flowers. There are other word which are not distinquishable and some impressed numerals. Dating mid-century this platter is an exquisite shape which is a squared-off octagonal shape with a deep mustard rim. The color of the ironstone has a blueish hue but is not blue. The Pattern is exquisite blue canterbury bellflowers painted in a wavy motion, intertwined with oval cameos filled with a bold flower. The inner ring is a tightly engaged series of bellflowers. Condition: Overall excellent shape, only has a slight superficial scratch, seen under bright light on an angle... No chips, repairs, crazing or flea bites. This a great size for serving of Turkey or Ham (Meat Platter) or just a lovely display in your French Country Farmhouse.
