It’s always been hard for these guys to write a bad song. Having said that, 2010’s “Witchkrieg” saw the band adjusting their sound quite a bit, with a new vocalist and a more streamlined sound. Not that it was a bad album, but it just wasn’t the same Witchery we’ve all come to know and love. “In His Infernal Majesty’s Service,” by contrast, stays truer to the Witchery of old. The music is still top-notch, while Angus Norder’s vocals more closely resemble those of Tony Kampner’s during the band’s earlier days. This album is as solid and scorching as anything Witchery has ever done.
