They posted a paperboard sign around the trap site to warn people of the foothold trap and to keep them from tampering with the trap thus the "do not molest". Many of these paper signs were destroyed- I have never seen an original just copies.I took the liberty to have these HIGH QUALITY signs made, changing the orientation to vertical and larger then the original paper signs- not in the effort to fool anyone but to have a high quality display piece for your trap collection or hunting cabin.HAPPY COLLECTING!
