The original bold, pictorial fabric was produced by roller printing, a technique pioneered in the early nineteenth century that greatly accelerated cloth printing. The introduction of faster, more economical printing processes; the substitution of brilliant mineral dyes for less intense vegetable dyes; and the juxtaposition of diverse design elements are all characteristic of the Victorian period. The finished size of this kit design is 14" x 14". Our kits contain only the finest quality, all natural materials available for the needle arts. The #14 mesh Zweigart canvas is 100% cotton, which insures that this project will not only have lasting beauty, but will block and finish properly as well.
