Description: Very nice Wild Heerbrugg M7 Stereomicroscope with transmitted light base, light source with bulb, Wild Heerbrugg MTr 22 power supply, rotating stage with glass plate, slide holding pegs, 10X oculars / eyepieces, 52 mm polarizing filter (made in Japan), spare bulb. Very good condition. Icing on the cake is a very sturdy and weatherproof foam padded case ("Pelican-style", called Tundra by Underwater Kinetics) and vinyl dust cover! Your stereoscope will be protected for many years to come. The scope works well-- I took some photos of a microbialite in thin section (see photos) showing the range of magnifications (6x and 31x). The light bulb in the light source works well, as does the power supply. The stage rotation is smooth. Unit focuses well and magnification / zoom mechanisms work great. Very uncommon to see these with a rotating stage. You will not be disappointed with this LEGENDARY Wild M7 stereoscope. It is definitely a step up from the M5, as this model features continual zoom (the M5 only has a handful of discrete zoom increments). You will find the build quality to be excellent-- I have no doubt that this scope will continue to serve you faithfully for decades. MADE IN SWITZERLAND! They don't make 'em like this anymore! Certainly not in CHINA! Minor cosmetic scratches, mainly on the base, that do not affect the performance of this beast. See photos.
