Description: 12 of these valves were purchased for a job. Only one was energized. We told the plumbers to only install one so we could test before they built all twelve burner trains. When we came to inspect, they were all installed in the piping laying on the floor but not on the burners. What can you do?Sometimes the instructions don't make it to the man with wrench. They even tossed my boxes. GRRRR. Anyway we were told to buy these to control a low pressure air supply from a burner blower by the burner mfg. When we tried one of them, it opened and closed but since we only had 18 inches water column, we did not have enough pressure on the other side of this valve. I'm told they work great on higher pressures or on situations where you need a valve to close on a supply. These valves have wrench marks and some sealant in threads. To get enough pressure on our system we had to buy butterfly valves with motor operators. All of them have minor marks but no more than they will have after installed with a pipe wrench. By accordingly and save money.
