The dealer said it was purchased from a Vietnam veteran. At the time.....when I purchased it....it was just an old WESTERN W49 Bowie. However, when I got it home I noticed the name...... PAPO MARTINEZ I THEN REALIZED IT WOULD BE IMPORTANT TO KEEP IT ORIGINAL. I placed it in storage.... Been there for (15) years. I decided to sell it and I googled the name and discovered the information. SEE PICTURES # 2 and #3. It’s time for a collector to keep this piece of history. ———- CONDITION: Knife: The knife has been used....carried....and sharpened...with discoloration. The wood handle is faded...but in good shape. —— Sheath; The sheath is in only fair to poor condition. The keeper is damaged...see pic.....#11. The base is bent....see picture....#12. There are dings ....dents.....and stains. ............THIS BOWIE WAS USED IN A WAR ZONE IN THE 1960’S. ....50+ years old. ————————————————————————-
