Description: SASS EMPORIA are delighted to offer this bright orange drip glazed ceramic art vase produced by Hutschenreuther of Germany. A porcelain painter by the name Carolus Magnus Hutschenreuther established the first private porcelain factory in Bavaria in 1814. For over two centuries the Hutschenreuther name, has become synonymous with quality and tradition and recognised as world leader in porcelain production. Still in operation today Hutschenreuther is manufactured by Rosenthal. In the 1970's Hutschenreuther employed a new artistic director Renee Neue where he overturned the traditional legacy of porcelain making with a colourful pop-art influenced aesthetic. This vase is one such example from this era. A rotund shaped vessel with a wide pipe shaped collar, is decorated in a lustrous orange glaze that features deep crimson veining that bleeds from its underglaze.
