Description: KEYWORDS: PR 280 stage robbers horse thieves * Wm Howard * Abe Jones * Black Bart * A Christmas Story * Alturas, CA * Redding, CA * William Howard * Abe Jones * Black Bart * John N. Thacker Please note: I ship to USA only. Depending on buyer's location eBay will likely collect state sales tax. Price is firm. Listed here is neat item I came across. It was put out by Wells Fargo Bank N.A. I'm not sure how old it is but "Tips for stagecoach Travelers" is "Rev.10/71" which may indicate of date of 1971. Included are: * Post card: Wells Fargo & Co. Overland Stage; this was attached to the "Tips for Stagecoach Travelers" but is no longer. In addition, it has some "foxing" so it is not in perfect condition. I have tried to highlight the foxing in the last photo. * Tips for Stagecoach Travelers and stagecoach diagram * Essentially, a "Wanted" poster for outlaws William Howard and Abe Jones, sought for robbing the out-going stage from Redding to Alturas (California) in October, 1891. Fun fact: The epilogue, on the reverse side of the wanted poster mentions the "legendary" highwayman-poet, Black Bart, whom J. M. Thacker (Wells Fargo detective who tracked down Howard & Jones) tracked down, is the same Black Bart that Ralphie drove away in "A Christmas Story" with his Red Ryder B-B gun ("Okay, Black Bart, now you get yours."). Please ask any questions you might have prior to bidding or buying. Thank you.
