Used, the cover is detached at spine and held in front only by front cover lining, there are brown specks on the bottom and side of outside page edging (unknown liquid, no scent), white minor specks on back cover, there is name written inside the first page in ink, it has an edge scuff along bottom front cover and the corners have minor scuffing, predominantly the upper right front corner.
