Description: Professionally restored by my hand at Pentiques.com and ready to write: Waterman 55 BCHR Fountain Pen. Waterman 5 Size 14k Fine nib. This is not a “flexible” nib, but is also not a Rigid. You can see the line variation from the writing sample. PLEASE READ THE BELOW NOTES REGARDING SPECIFIC INFORMATION ON THIS PEN: NOTE: the nib does have a bit of “feedback” on the paper while writing, sort of like graphite pencil feel which you can lightly hear while writing. However, the tines are straight and it writes nice. Don’t confuse this with “scratchy.” NOTE: after cleaning the nib / feed did not seat tightly enough into the section to our satisfaction. We applied a touch of shellac to the top of the nib prior to setting to make sure it’s firm. The pen writes nice and doesn’t leak. Very clean original coloration. Excellent chasing and Waterman barrel imprint. NOTE: There is a very minor plating wear on both edges of the clip - see images. Any questions, just ask.
