Description: Antique Primitive Rustic Chess Checkers Table / Converts To Chair Unique & Rare! I don't know how old this table is because I can't find another one like it to compare. But it's old and so cool. A dealer told me likely early19th century. The wood is primitive, the style is rustic and, the workmanship is wonderful. The table has a decorative carved trim around the outside. I believe the top is possibly leather with the traditional chess board. There's a little bit of wear on portions of the edges. See photos. But overall in very good condition. Now the magic. Remove the peg and the table tilts back to convert the entire piece into a sturdy rustic chair. Great space-saving concept . This piece is extremely heavy. Very unique conversation Piece and quite functional if you still like to play a mean game of Checkers, chess or backgammon. Would prefer a free local pickup. Or I could possibly deliver within a couple hundred mile radius for a reasonable charge.
