Description: The story goes, the US based Waltham Watch Company established a subsidiary under the name Waltham International SA Switzerland in 1954, just a few years before the US factory doors closed. Shortly thereafter, the subsidiary Waltham Switzerland established a partnership with Blancpain to bring their pioneering Fifty Fathoms dive watch to the US market, under the well established Waltham name. From there, the story remains somewhat untold.
