Description: W Butcher 7/16 Inch Gouge. Measuring 5" from the edge to the top of the handle, the blade is 3 9/16" long, 9/16" wide across the outside of the sweep, 7/16" across the inside at the edge, this is 10 15/16" overall, and this weighs 4 1/4 oz unboxed. This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned. The inside of the sweep is good save for a little staining and frosting. The back is also good. The edge is fairly good, but could probably stand a quick touch up. The handle is original to the tool. That has some dings, stains, user marks, and I did take down a little mushrooming on the striking end, but it's solid. For a being a tool that is at least 150 years old, this guy is right fine in my book. A working and collectible old Butcher edge tool for sure!
