Description: This is a highly decorative, hand-carved wax springerle mold. It has a built-in rope hanger. The lower right corner of the mold is cut away a little and there’s a dented area on the upper right front. (Please see photos.) It actually looks like a giant chocolate bar! Being from California and not having German ancestors, I didn’t even know what this was and had to do some research. It seems like making springerle biscuits is quite a time-consuming process. I think it would look really nice hanging as an art piece on the kitchen wall, especially in a Craftsman or Victorian house or a farmhouse. Unique and interesting!
