Description: I have been a dealer on Ebay since 1999, and an antiques dealer since 1985. As I bought for Ebay, I would come across vintage vinyl, which is really different from new vinyl. I also would come across toys, dolls, and patterns for antique and vintage pieces. I would set the vinyl aside, thinking that I would do something with it. Welp, that didn't work out. I never did use it. The types are great for old stuff. There are a pair of toddler (although they look a LOT bigger than toddler) costume Pirates pants in an inexpensive red stripe vinyl. I see this pattern and weight all the time on vintage 1940's toys and dolls. In fact, I have several vintage vinyl dolls for sale now in my shop. They are good as they are - the rest of the costume fell apart. BUT my intent was to use the vinyl for repairs, or for dressing dolls - shoes, aprons and more. It is a nice size, with plenty of fabric for small projects. The legs are about 18" in diameter, and the waist is about 22" when you pull it out. The elastic makes it hard to measure. There are no holes, rips or tears, and it's from the 1950's. The next piece is a 1960's black and white piece that is 48" long, but only 7" wide, with a slightly pebbled surface. It is in great condition, and fairly light weight. The next piece is a cream colored plain light weight vinyl, that may have been part of a vinyl picnic cloth, and dates to the 1970s. It measures 18" x 23". It doesn't have any holes or tears. Then there is my favorite, a dark green piece from the 1950's. This one has a very 1950's slightly marbled look. It is fairly heavy, and measures 9" x 10.5". There is a small brown piece, from the 1970's that is textured. It has possibilities, but it is very small, measuring 9" by 3 1/4". It is slightly tongue shaped, with one end being rounded. Last but not least, there is a fairly big, nice and heavy with cloth back, black vinyl that is 49" x 12. It is from the 1980's, and looks like furniture or car vinyl. I had planned to use it to make doll shoes and hats. I have some more vinyl in other listings - one is a fair sized piece of 1950's vinyl shelf liner, and the other are partial books of vinyl sample books. Check them out, if you are interested! L"
