Description: This is an original Crying Face Bear from ‘The Rushton Company’ designed by Mary Rushton. Rushton’s Star Creation toy line were painted, rubber faced animals and dolls. They were made from the 1950’s to 1960’s. It was one of their most popular toy lines. The company continued to offer a range of products until its closure in approximately in 1984. This Bear is in EXCELLENT condition. It has a light golden/light yellow cream color on the front inner tummy, bottom side, paws and ears. The outer back side, nub tail, ears, paws and head is a nut brown color. There are no stains that I can see. The bear has a slight old smell but not musty nor smokey, just like it's been sitting in a room untouched for many decades. The Ribbon is not frayed and also Is in excellent condition. The Rushmore tag is frayed. I did not attempt to clean the bear at all and is in the condition I found it in. Please let me know if you have any questions.
