VTG Japanese Reversible Brocade Dance Odori Obi Black & Gold Design: Oct19-B

Description: Vintage Reversible Brocade Dance Odori Obi 踊り帯 This is from a huge lot of vintage items that we have acquired. It came from a traditional dance school in Kyoto. It seems to have been produced in the 1980’s or 1990’s but has been carefully stored. It is a special type of Obi used in Japanese dance. Beautiful gold gengi-guruma design on a black and rust background on one side and a gold trellis design on a white background on the other. It is 136” or 350cm in length and measures: 4½” or 11cm wide. This Obi may have possibly been worn a few times but has no apparent issues. It is still in its original package.
