This a hand sewn 8 point Star Quilt , in Very very Good condition, with early American Greetings Holly Hobbie fabric used in the star designs. Usage of color and design is excellent. Other than the early 70's Holly Hobbie fabric, the rest is feed sack and other vintage fabric the maker saved over the years to construct it. The backing is white muslin, and has small 10 per inch stitching. This was made in Yorktown Virginia, probably finally finished in the 1970's due to the Holly Hobbie fabric pieces. Carefully and lovingly hand-washed and air dried over several days - months ago it had a few yellowing spots for being stored so long, but it is now clean white with non of those anymore. Again, CAREFULLY Hand washed with Grandma's Linen wash and a bit of Oxy. Measurements are 70" X 84". It is in very good used condition and clean; comes from a smoke free home! we do have pets but they are separate from the inventory area - ( healthy and vet seen 2 cats) but this is stored safely in clean storage bags, and in a large Armoire Cabinet, again Covered with 2 sleeve storage bags in the inventory area (in shut door office away from pets.)
