Description: This figure is a large, wooden, hand-carved Scandinavian style folk art by the artist Eric Thorsen’s father, Marcus Thorsen (confirmed by Eric Thorsen). It depicts a bearded figure with a hat and full cheeks, holding a fish. Vintage Nordic fisherman Santa Claus. It looks unfinished in its natural wood state, with some aging on the front, like that pretty grayish color wood gets from aging in the sun. Couple of tiny chips on the hat and fish, shown in photos. Showing normal vintage age. It has the old hanging hook on the back, which you can remove if you want. Please look at the pictures very carefully. Signed by Thorsen on the back with a little fish doodle, and personalized “Special For Joe”. You can try sanding that off if you must, or get it as a gift for someone named Joe. ;) Approximately 15.5 in tall, 5.5 in wide, 1.5 in thick.
