Description: Vintage Chinese Mud Man Glazed Ceramic Figures for decorating Bonsai Landscapes from the Guangdong Province. The taller one stands 11.25" and may be holding a Ruyi scepter symbolizing the Sacred Lotus of Power and Good Fortune. The slightly smaller one with child stands 10.5" and may be carrying a prunas branch symbolizing Spring and Eternal Life. On a super hard flat surface the latter wobbles a bit, better off seated into sand. They both each weigh 1 pound and 12 ounces. It may be hard to see but there are faint aqua blue highlights. This character may represent Li Shizhen a wise man and scholar. It may also be made from the famous molds of the master artist Lin Zemian. My guess on their age is the 1970s. They will be shipped inside a thick rigid styrofoam cooler.Any shipping overcharge will be refunded.
