Description: Very large 12”H. Teapot. No chips or cracks, but it does have some crazing. Vintage Chinese ceramic porcelain Zhongguo Taoci handpainted floral teapot. Marked on bottom with red or brown stamp. Dated in the inscription to the yi mao year (1975). This piece comes from the Chinese Cultural Revolution period (1966-76): As a result of the Cultural Revolution, 7 ceramic factories and research units were curtailed, 4 mines of porcelain clay were blocked, 2928 technicians were forced to work in other fields and 13 ceramics factories had to diversify their production to include other goods. Compared to 1960, the number of workers reduced by 40%. The revolution gave a blow to the industry. Thanks for looking
