Description: Here’s a rare bowl and underplate combination, a seldom seen jam or mustard pot and underplate by N. Lutz at Boston And Sandwich. It is in the Vaseline opalescent ‘threaded’ combo style, just an exquisite example of vintage glasswork. There are polished pontils on the piece(s) and as such, they don’t seem to set perfectly together but I’m almost sure these were sold together at one time back in the 1800s or early 1900s. Just take note that you will have to turn the bowl on the plate to get it to display the best and put it up in a display case where it can’t be banged around. There no flaws, cracks or chips that I could find and I looked it over pretty well. The Vaseline glass does glow under black light, not as much as uranium glass, but as you can see from the pictures, it does glow. This is a rare combination of an early N. Lutz piece from Boston and Sandwich Glass Co. Grab it while you can! Ships via USPS Ground Advantage Mail
