Description: **Special Note-Over the next 2 nights we will be listing 8 lots of fishing rods from the same collection. These rods are a bit unusual as they feature the history of each rod written on them. Some of these rods were owned by important historical figures. I will have these rods listed as folk art or story rods so please be sure to search for them, they are very interesting, I have never seen rods with the history written on them like this before. If you are interested in purchasing all 8 lots to keep this collection together, please message me*** This third lot is a 3 piece early 1900s Abbey & Imbrie fly rod. Here is the story written on this rod “ Old Abbey & Imbrie fly rod made about 1910. Cane, reel seat, cork and ferrules all believed to be original. Reconditioned in 1962 by Lou Williams with new guides. Tip had been broken and repaired.” Nice vintage rod, only writing besides the story I can find on the rod is a Made in USA on reel seat. There is one guide on handle section missing. The handle section measures 37 inches, mid is 37 inches and tip is 34 inches. There is a small hole drilled into reel seat, I believe previous owner probably had it on display. Nice vintage rod, very interesting with the history featured on it!
