Description: Blue and white poly crepe has a nice smooth feel. Bodice is lined with a very sheer cotton. Please note there is yellowing on lining. Every tier and collar are embellished with lace and blue velvet piping. This dress is homemade and has a lot of hand stitching. The dress was not photographed with a crinoline but it still looks a bit full. That because there is a lot of fabric used. However it very lightweight and would be perfect for summer or dancing. I consider this dress in excellent condition because of it's age, but it's not perfect. On close inspection I found: Yellowing on interior bodice lining. This does not show when worn. Age yellowing/ tea stain color on lace. This should not be considered a flaw. This is what happens to vintage items and I consider it beautiful. A testament that it's truly a vintage piece. Ever so slight discoloration in underarm area. I'm almost afraid to mention this because it's so slight. You need to hold it up to the light and turn the dress to find it. For accuracy I mention it, but you'll never see it when worn. If you buy vintage a lot and love it like I do, you're going to be very very pleased with the condition of this dress.
