VTG 1950s Schaefer Beer Lighted Bar Sign Working Lucite Bas Relief Fishing Scene

Description: Model #707 Schaefer Brewing Company sign depicting a bass fish and lure underwater scene. Press button for on / off. White electric plug in cord. Gold-tone base is now free-standing on a table top; it has mounts that allowed it to be placed on a cash register. Back of base reads: "Push to start ~ Re-lamp by removing 2 screws ~ Use F6T.5CW Lamp ~ the F & M Schaefer Brewing Co., New York, N . Y. ~ Designed and manufactured by Trans-World Display Corp, New York, N. Y." Approximate age: 1950's Dimensions: Overall, 7-3/8" high x 10-3/8" wide x 2" deep. Visible lucite piece is 4.5" high x 10" wide x 0.5" deep. Footed stand measures 0.25" high x 3-7/8" wide x 1.5" deep, with indented portion 1-3/8" deep. Schaefer medallion has 2-5/8" diameter. Electric cord is 64" long. Condition: Very good giftable condition. Mentionable issues: a) Metal base shows surface paint scuffs and losses, filled in over time with light corrosion, and b) electrical tape wrapped around cord. I did not remove electrical tape fully, but strongly suspect this means new wiring (or at least shortening connection to plug to remove damaged wire) advised. Electronic light tested and confirmed working well. Lucite free of chips, cracks, or damage. I am unsure if haziness of Lucite on back is intentional to simulate water appearance or some scuffing over time -- does not detract from lit image. No mounting hardware, but stable when free-standing. Unpacked weight: 3 lbs. Always happy to pass through discounts on combined shipping.
