Description: To avoid misunderstandings of any sort, I will provide feedback once feedback is given. I would like to know how I am doing, and the opportunity to provide the best experience possible.Acquired these at an estate auction with some books I wanted to get. When I say these, I mean I have other listings here on our old friend eBay, that all came from the same auction. They were part of one lot of books, tucked inside a photo album disguised to look like a book. Go figure. I don't know much about art, or prints, basically this medium in general. I do know a little about books, and how paper ages, inking, etc. So, it is in my humble opinion, with some quick research, that these are indeed genuine articles published between 1835-1890. As evidenced by the haphazard edges of the paper, they were cut from the book in which they were published. And not very expertly, I might add. Don't look at me; I didn't do it. I transferred them from said album and inserted them in comic book grade mylar bags, with backing boards to boot. I've taken photos that pretty much sum up everything that can be known about the item(s) being offered. This one appears to be taken from a smaller book than most of the others, with gold leaf applied to page ends. Can be seen (on close inspection) in the photos. J.C. Buttre was the engraver (1821 -1893). J.L. Morton was the artist? Not sure on that point. Could be the artist, or the author of the book from which this was removed. Unfortunately, because some don't play well with others, I must add the following: Item(s) listed "as is" and sold "as is." Returns, refunds, etc. will not be accepted, processed, or even entertained by me. Sad, I know. As a seller, prompt and cleared payment is always appreciated and, in kind, shipment will normally proceed the same day (next day latest) - I drive to an actual post office and leave the package with the USPS. I will combine shipping for additional purchases, but let's discuss rates beforehand. The more you buy - the more you save. Will ship internationally, through eBay's Global Shipping Program, with free delivery to their shipping facility. Postage from there is set by eBay. ANY questions, please feel free to contact me before bidding or buying, as I am a delightful person with whom to converse and usually amenable to reasonable requests, i.e. some clarification, an extra picture or two, things of that ilk. I do my absolute best to give an accurate and fair assessment of all my eBay items and price them accordingly. Thank you for visiting, and happy eBaying!
