ADVERTISEMENT PIECES Cleveland Leader Keep This Lucky Piece - 2 tokens offered. The Cleveland Leader was a newspaper printed in Cleveland, Ohio from 1854 - 1917. These tokens are approximately 2.5 cm in diameter and done in a dark brass/copper like metal. "Win Big Rewards No: Sunday Leader Gives Full Particulars" is printed on one side (the reward number is partially visible on one token); reverse side has: "SUNDAY LEADER" around the edge and: "Keep this lucky piece it may be worth $50" printed in the center. Cleveland Merchant Parking Token Coin - 1 Token This item is made of a brass colored metal and is approximately 2.4 cm in diameter. One side has: "Free Parking Token" in the center with: "E 55 - Broadway Merchants' Association" around the edge. The reverse side has: "Free Parking Token" in the center with: "City of Cleveland Parking Lot" around. Sears 1886 - 1986 New Century Token - 1 token offered. This piece celebrated one century of the Sears company; it is made of a copper colored metal and is approximately 2.3 cm in diameter. The head of the Statue of Liberty appears on one side with: "LIBERTY and a copywrite of 1982" in the center and: "Contains Authentic Material ...1886 - 1996 Centennial" printed around the edges. The reverse side shows the number 100 in the center with thick sun like rays emanating from it and: "Celebrating Sears NEW CENTURY" printed over it. "1886 1996" appears under the 100 number. Sunoco Landmarks of America Old Faithful token - 1 token offered. Made of a silver colored metal and measuring approximately 2.5 cm this token has the Sunoco logo and an image of the United States in the center of one side. "Landmarks of America" is printed inside the image of the US. The reverse side shows an image of Old Faithful erupting with the words: "Old Faithful" above it. Vanak Corporation 4 Tokens offered Each of these tokens is done in silver colored metal and measures approximately 2.2 cm in diameter. Three have a solid center with 9 outreaching rays on both sides; the letters: "V A N A K C O R P" are printed on the raised rays. The reverse side of 3 of the tokens is identical to the front but with the addition of : "Pat Pend" etched into the center. The fourth token has the solid center with the outgoing rays in which the name Vanak Corp. appears and: "Pat No. 2073392" etched in the center. The opposite side of this coin has a circle etched within the solid center and the letters: "A. DA L K I N C O." in the outgoing rays. TOLL/TRANSIT/TAX TOKENS Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Token - 1 token offered. This token was for passage across the Delaware River and was issued by the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission run by the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The token is made of a light brass colored metal and is approximately 1.9 cm in diameter. One side shows the 2 state insignias of New Jersey and Pennsylvania "Established 1934" and : "Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission New Jersey Pennsylvania" around the edge. The reverse side has: "Bridge Token" in the middle with: "Good for One Passage Commuter Token" around the edge. New York City Transit Token - 2 tokens offered. These tokens are approximately 2.0 cm in diameter and each has a pentagonal hole in the center, which represents the 5 boroughs of the city. Around the edge on one side is: "New York City Transit Authority". The reverse side has: "Good for One Fare" around the edge. North Olmsted Ohio Bus Line Token 11 Tokens offered.2.5 cm in diameter and done in a brass colored metal these tokens have: "North Olmsted Bus Line" printed on one side and: "School Ticket" on the other. Ontario Department of Highways - 4 Tokens and 1 envelop container offered.These tokens are approximately 1.7 cm in diameter and made of a brass colored metal. Each has the initials "dHo" in the center on one side with: "Ontario Department of Highways" around; the reverse side has: "Class 1 Vehicle" in the center with: "Ontario Department of Highways" around that. The presentation envelop is approximately 3 1/2" long x 2 1/4" wide. 1922 Pittsburgh Railways One Fare Transit Token - 1 token offered. The approximate 2.0 cm diameter token is most likely made of steel; it has a triangular (think 3 rivers) hole in the center with the image of a railroad passenger car in the center and: "Pittsburgh Railways Co. 1922" around. The reverse has: "GOOD FOR ONE FARE" printed on it. Louisiana Public Welfare Tax Token - 1 token offered. Approximately 2.2 cm in diameter this token is made of a brass colored metal with a triangular hole in the center. Both sides of this token have the number 5 printed on two sides with: "Louisiana Public Welfare Tax Token" printed at top and bottom. PRESIDENTIAL TOKENS/COINS John Quincy Adams A single silver colored coin approximately 2.9 cm in diameter is offered. One side bears a bust figure of John Quincy Adams along with the verbiage: 6th President U. S. A. 1825 - 1829 John Quincy Adams. The reverse side has: "The Diarist" and: "Old Man Eloquent" around the edge and a center filled with President J. Q. Adams' family and professional history. William Howard Taft One coin offered. This brass colored metal coin is approximately 2.7 cm in diameter; has an image of President Taft, "President U.S.A. 1909 - 1915, William H. Taft" on one side and an eagle atop a shield in the center of the reverse side with: "President 27 Coin" printed atop the shield. PLAY MONEY Tex-A-Toy, Toy Dime 1 Token Approximately 1.6 cm in diameter and in a silver colored metal this toy dime has the image of a cowboy boot in the center on one side with; " Tex-A-Toy 1956 Toy Dime" printed around it and on the other side the number 10 in the middle with: "Toy Money Ten Cents" printed at top and bottom. Two Bits Play Coin 1 Coin Done in a silver colored metal and approximately 2.5 cm in diameter this play coin has the image of a horse bust in the center on one side along with: "25" and "Twenty Five" printed around the image. The reverse side has the horse image again in the center with: "Two Bits Play Coin" on the outer edge. 25 Play Coin 1 Coin Approximately 2.5 cm in diameterThis play coin does not appear to be made of metal; it is dark brass in color and possibly made of plastic or resin. A cowboy shooting his guns and riding his horse adorns one side along with : "Play Coin 25". On the reverse is an image of a ten gallon hat and a pair of six guns; "Play Coin Twenty Five" is printed around the edge. MISCELLANEOUS TOKENS/COINS/PIN National Union Society 1931 Golden Jubilee enlistment Brigade Member Token 1 Token offeredApproximately 3.2 cm in diameter and done in a gold colored metal this coin has a lined diamond shape in the center on one side with the words: "National Union Assurance Society 1931" printed on it. "Member Golden Jubilee Enlistment Brigade 1931" appears on the reverse. U.S. Marine Corps Toys For Tots Coin 1 Coin offeredApproximately 2.5 cm in diameter and done in a dark brass tone metal this coin has the U.S. Marine Corps insignia in the center on one side with: "United States Marine Corps Semper Fidelis" printed on the edges and an image of a Teddy Bear in Marine uniform in the center on the other side with: "Every Child Deserves a Little Christmas and Toys For Tots" printed around the edges. Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen Lapel Pin This pin measures approximately 1.2 cm wide and 1.7 cm long. An enameled circle within a gold color metal circle has a letter T in green set on a white background with gold colored lines (train tracks?) running through. A red outer edge of this inner circle has: "Railroad, Brotherhood, Trainmen" printed in gold. A green colored piece atop the inner circle has: "10" printed on it and a gold colored banner at the bottom reads: "Years". The name: "Josten's" is printed on the back of the pin along with an insignia of some sort. The pin clasp screws onto the attachment nail. All pieces are in very good condition.
