Description: This item is complete and works as intended. Initially opens on a rear hinge by pressing brass button on front, to reveal a mirror and engraved, chain design door featuring the Elgin name. A second button exists inside that when pushed to the right, opens an additional hinged door that originally held a "puffer". All hinges, buttons and components made of brass-mirror and inner door gasket only exceptions. There is "rub wear" to exterior cover from years of carrying. I did not attempt to clean/polish this piece, and I imagine it works polish very nicely, but it is clear that some of the wear on front is permanent. Nonetheless, complete and working antique piece.
