Vintage Wayne Clark Couture, Black & White Jersey, Pearl Beadwork Size 4 Dress

Description: Reminiscent of 1940's Hollywood Glamour is this elegant Wayne Clark Couture Dress. Ca. 1987, the luxe, silky soft poly jersey is impeccably gathered and draped on the creamy white, long sleeve bodice. Graceful and precise detailing of seed pearl beadwork adorn the bodice front, sleeve cuffs, and stand-up collar. The waist is defined by a black trapunto stitched 7" - 9 1/2" decorative center inset attached to a slim, black jersey skirt. The exquisite back draping is open from the eight simulated large pearl closure to the back waistline. This vintage treasure is a size 4 - 6. The size tag was removed by me after purchase in 1987. Key measurements include: Waist : 25" ; Hip Area : 34" ; Sleeve Length : 25" ; Bust Area : 34" - 36" ; Length From Shoulder to Hem : 50" ( mid-calf to ankle length perfection depending on height. ) Please note: There is about 3/4" missing seed pearl beads on one are of the bodice ; and about 1 1/2" missing on an area on the back neck. Could possibly be repaired by an expert seamstress or left alone due to the draping. Please ask if further questions.
