Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This happy faced little doll is a twist waist doll. Although I was unable to find this particular doll’s maker/year, I did find another similarly made twist waist doll made in 1941 called the “Lu-Jon Doll” that used the Patsy type doll face mold instead. For the sake of simplicity, I would guess that this doll was made in 1941 as well, making her approximately 82 years old at the time of this writing. She measures approximately 9 ½” tall and is marked “Pat. Pending” on her back. She has a full composition one-piece body with a twisting waist, joints at the shoulders, and straight stationary unjointed legs. She has molded painted sandy brown hair with “cyclone” curl down her forehead with waves on the sides, painted sandy brown eyebrows, big blue side glancing painted eyes, a little button nose, red rosy cheeks, a closed painted mouth with red lips, and red painted finger nails. Her composition is in fair condition with crazing on her legs and on either side of her nose, and some paint loss, as well as rubs and scuffs here and there. She has been restrung her and sprayed her with a light coat of polyurethane to stabilize her. She comes in what I believe to be her original white romper with red trim around the neck and on the sleeves, and red painted shoes. Her romper was gently washed and pressed; however, it is showing signs of dry-rot with tears on the left sleeve and left thigh. Sold as is; no returns; no refunds.
