Description: This remarkable example of machine age modernism design dates to the early 1930’s. The triple tiered aluminum shade provides indirect light by reflecting it off the ceiling above. Light also escapes between the louvered aluminum segments resulting in a beautiful display. The aluminum shade has been completely disassembled and all parts cleaned and hand polished. It is suspended with three bead chains from socket housing, tethered by round pendant cord to a ceiling canopy. The newly refurbished components consist of a polished nickel socket housing containing new porcelain socket, fabric covered pendant cord and chrome ceiling canopy. Strain relief mechanisms are included at both top and bottom connections. Close to four feet of cord is included, so you may vary the drop. A length of 1/8ips pipe and standard crossbar are included to assist in mounting to an existing electric box. It is suggested you knot the cord inside the junction box to provide an extra measure of safety. This fixture accepts one standard US medium base light bulb (not included).
