The surface of each Fiddle-shaped handle is ornamented with two vertical rows of stylised spiral decoration, emanating from a plain band to the stem. The reverse surface of each spoon and fork is plain and unembellished. This vintage cutlery set consists of 72 pieces: Basic Service: 12 Table knives12 Table forks12 Table/Soup spoons12 Dessert knives12 Dessert forks12 Dessert spoons The components of this Sheffield silver vintage canteen have been crafted by Emile Viner of Viner"s Ltd in 1967; Gerald Benney was a consultant designer at Viner from 1959 -1969. The original stainless steel blade of each knife bears the retailer"s mark "Viners of Sheffield, Stainless England" and the stem of each fork and spoon features "Viners Sterling Sheffield". This impressive vintage Viners cutlery set is supplied in the original felt cutlery rolls with individual presentation boxes; which not only proteCt the items in storage but significantly reduce tarnishing. Condition This vintage Viners cutlery set is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The decoration to each piece is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of each piece are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
