VINTAGE Steiff Teddyli RUBBER Maybe Baby Teddyli Teddy Bear 4 1/2 inches tall

Description: This teddy bear is being offered for sale in overall good vintage condition as pictured. This item belonged to my mom and was displayed in a glass showcase in a smoke-free home. We are also a smoke-free home but in case it matters to anyone- we have two small dogs- (pugs) I am not a collector- I am only “familiar” with the items my mom collected over the years so please know I will do my best to describe these items to the best of my ability. In many cases, I will not be able to identify a name/brand or specific age period for these items. Please note it is impossible to list each and every imperfection so kindly enlarge the photos and view the pictures carefully.This bear has measured about 4 1/2 inches when I laid him down on his back. The composition of his body appears to be rubber-like. The arms have some type of limited “bendy” movement. The legs do not. The head is intact but almost feels “loose”- with that being said the head can be turned around completely… 360 degrees... so obviously it is secured somehow. The pants seem to be felt-like and the plaid shirt is cotton-like. The shirt sleeves are tattered but I am not sure if the shirt was originally crafted that way or not. The Steiff paper tag is sewn to his overalls. There is not a traditional Steiff button on the bear -not sure if it ever had one. I do not know the age of the bear but I’m guessing the 1950s or so. I have carefully taken the photos to expand on the description, details and condition of the bear. Please enlarge the photos on a computer.
