Description: A fun find from the mid century in very nice display condition, but it is non-working. This is a cigarette lighter by Sarome called the 'cruiser' and is shaped like a ship. It dates from the 1950s or 1960s and was made in Japan. It is made of shiny silver chrome metal and yellow and red enamel paint. It is hall marked on the bottom, "Sarome 'Cruiser' Automatic Super Lighter S.G.W. Mfg. Ltd.". Sarome is a well-known Japanese brand that specializes in manufacturing high-quality smoking accessories, including luxury lighters. Sarome lighters are highly regarded for their precision engineering, exquisite design, and use of premium materials. This lighter is in very nice, used, vintage condition with some fine scratches due to normal use and a very small amount of crazing that is barely noticeable. The flint screw and the fuel screws work well, as does the lighter button. It come with it's original Sarome cruiser box. It displays very nicely and the flint tube is clear, but it does not spark. It will not arrive with a flint or fuel; I have to ship it dry, per USPS regulations. This would make a great gift for a smoker, collector or Tobacciana enthusiast! Measures about 3-1/8" long by 1-1/8" high by 3/8 inches wide.
